Air Fryer Candied Bacon Recipe (1)

The best part of air fried candied bacon is the fact that it cooks faster than the traditional oven-baked method, and clean up is super easy. Fall is my favorite time to enjoy candied bacon because it pairs perfectly with desserts, like my maple bacon spice cupcakes. I also like to pair it with all the fall seasonal foods on my fall charcuterie board.

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 pound thick-cut bacon
  • 5 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. coarse black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Recipe Notes and FAQs

Can I overlap the bacon in the air fryer basket?

Yes, with this recipe it is okay to overlap the bacon as it shrinks when it cooks.

How long does candied bacon last?

You can store candied bacon in the refrigerator for up to three weeks. Note that the syrup may get wet and sticky as it sits. You can reheat in the air fryer by cooking for 3-5 minutes and then let it set again on a cooling rack.
