I knew we needed to bump up our immune systems so I whipped up this Healthy Immunity Boost Smoothie to give us all just a little extra kick of Vitamin C and other immunity boosting vitamins. I’m determined to get us healthy again ASAP!

I can’t think of anything worse than a cold, especially when it’s finally warm outside! We’ve had a cold going around at our house and as soon as someone gets better, someone else gets sick.

We used a Magic Bullet Blender for this recipe, but any blender or smoothie blender works great! Make sure to use a larger blender if you plan on doubling this recipe.

What is an immunity boosting smoothie?

Did you know one of the best things you can do for your immune system is to eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables? Sounds easy enough right?

I never have a problem eating all of my servings of fruit, especially here in California. However, getting all of my vegetables in during the day is always a little difficult for me.

Throwing a handful of spinach in this smoothie makes all the difference in your vegetable consumption, and the best part is you won’t even notice it’s in there. The rest of the ingredients pack a Vitamin C punch, which plays a huge part in strengthening your immune system.

How can I boost my immune system in other ways?

There are a lot of ways to boost your immune system! If you find yourself getting sick often, try making a few of these simple changes.

  • Exercise for 30 minutes every day, we love taking a walk outside and getting some fresh air!
  • More fruits and vegetables, yes MORE than we’ve already mentioned!
  • Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, this can make a HUGE difference on your immune system.
  • Take your daily vitamins. Find some that you like and stick with them. No shame in taking the gummies!
  • Wash your hands! I could write an entire blog post on this but I think it’s pretty self explanatory.
